My public scholarship bridges academic research, community engagement, and storytelling to center the voices and political work of diasporic and marginalized communities. Rooted in a commitment to accessibility and justice, I use writing, workshops, and collaborative projects to engage broad audiences beyond the university.
Much of my work focuses on second-generation Indo-Caribbean identity, anti-Blackness, and transnational solidarity. I contribute to public conversations through op-eds, workshops, and social media collaborations with grassroots organizations. I have been invited to speak on platforms dedicated to the Caribbean diaspora studies, and racial justice, and I regularly contribute insights to public-facing panels and workshops.
As a scholar-activist, I have organized and facilitated community-based events in New York City and Toronto. I view public scholarship not as an add-on to academic work, but as essential to reimagining knowledge production in collective and transformative ways.
